Alan B. Engel, MD is a native of South Bend graduating from John Adams High School. Dr. Engel received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 1987 and his medical degree from Indiana University in 1991. His first two years of medical school were actually spent on the University of Notre Dame campus at the South Bend Center for Medical Education. After completing a medical internship at the IU Medical Center, he served his residency in Diagnostic Radiology also at the IU Medical Center Campus, serving as Chief Resident his fourth year. He completed a fellowship in Body CT, Ultrasound and MRI at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then completed a mini-fellowship in Breast Imaging back in Indianapolis at the Indiana University Medical Center.
